The wrapping described consists of a precut sheet (10) of a tearable wrapping material, a tear-off strip (13) which is heat-sealed onto the inside of the sheet (10), a tongue (14) which is bonded or sealed onto the outside of the sheet (10), and a label (12). The tear-off strip (13) has a V-shape. The tongue (14) partially covers the tip of the V.
