摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To continuously produce optical elements by press-molding an optical glass material into a lens shape in a molding chamber consisting of a heating zone, a press zone and a slow cooling zone through an inlet and thereafter forming a thin film of a specified substance on the optical surface of the lens in a vapor deposition chamber. CONSTITUTION:A glass material 60 used as a raw material of an optical element such as a lens is superposed on a carrier 20 and successively transferred in the direction A to the inside of a molding chamber 6 through an inlet chamber 4. After the glass material is heated and softened with the heaters 28 in a heating zone 6-1 and a press zone 6-2 of the inside of the molding chamber 6 and pressurized with an upper mold 30 and a lower mold 32 to mold it into the lens, the molded lens is slowly cooled in a slow cooling zone 6-3 having the heaters 28 which are stepwise made weak. Then it is transferred to the inside of a vapor deposition chamber 8 and Mo or the like incorporated in a vessel 42 provided with a heating apparatus 44 is heated and evaporated, and a thin film of Mo is vapor-deposited on a back surface of the molded lens and successively on a surface thereof by reversing it and thereafter it is taken out from an outlet chamber 10 by means of a retracting rod 48 and the lens continuously coated with Mo is efficiently produced.</p>
