PURPOSE:To simplify a casing structure and reduce a manufacturing cost, by forming a vane chamber between a turbine shaft and an inner casing, and forming upper and lower steam chambers partitioned by a flange between the inner casing and an outer casing. CONSTITUTION:A vane chamber 8 is formed by combining a turbine shaft 1 and an inner casing 3. A space defined between the inner casing 3 and an outer casing 5 is partitioned into upper and lower chambers by an inner lower flange 3d. The lower chamber is used for a steam induction chamber 10, while the upper chamber is used for a steam exhaust chamber 9. A high-temperature high-pressure steam is supplied through a steam induction passage 12 into the steam induction chamber 10, and is fed through steam inlet holes 6 to the vane chamber 8 to rotate the turbine shaft 1. Thereafter, the steam is fed through the steam exhaust chamber 9 and a steam exhaust passage 11 to the outside. With this arrangement, a casing structure may be simplified and a manufacturing cost may be reduced. Further, even when the steam induction passage is arranged in linear relationship to the steam exhaust passage, the steam turbine may be installed.
