For example, carbonless pressure- sensitive recording material, heat-sensitive recording material, etc. PREPARATION:The objective compound can be produced e.g. by thermally condensing N-ethylcarbazole-3-aldehyde with N,N-dibenzylaniline in glacial acetic acid, dissolving the resultant 4,4'-di(N,N-dibenzylaminophenyl)-3-(N- ethylcarboazolyl)methane in a solvent, adding 2,3-dichloro-5,6-dicyano-1,4-benzo quinone to the solution, adding a methanol solution of Na-methoxide to the mixture and precipitating with excess methanol. |
