Water purification flocculation tank for restricted installation spaces, preferably for portal-type carwash sheds. It will be inevitable in the future that a closed washwater recovery circulation will be demanded even for the tens of thousands of portal-type carwashes with controlled discharge into the public sewage system, so that only discharge values with respect to light-petroleum-soluble substances corresponding to the officially permitted discharge values flow off from these devices. If the specified discharge values are actually to be achieved, use must be made of the known classical water treatment processes with emulsion breaking and flocculation, which essentially comprise at least two agitator and hold-up vessels (flocculators), a filter, pumps, metering devices and an electrical unit. If prior art commercial components are used, it will be established that the same can scarcely all be accommodated in the available carwash sheds. The greatest space requirement is demanded by whichever types of vessels are used for mixing the chemicals and to allow the necessary delay time for flocculation in the two necessary steps: vigorous mixing and subsequent gentle agitation.
