It is proposed to construct a container for deep fat frying products, which container can be lowered into a deep fat frying bath and can be raised above the latter, as a filter pan, its upper edge extending in the fully lowered position over the surface of the deep fat frying bath. As a result, it is achieved with little production expenditure that crumbs dropping from the deep fat frying products do not pass into the bath surrounding the deep fat frying container and contaminate it.
