A contact element for hoses having a metal insert, consisting of a base ring which has a dissipation device consisting of electrically conductive material and can be electrically conductively connected to the metal insert of the hose by means of the cutting lip which is dimensioned to the diameter of the metal insert of the hose. The contact element is used for dissipating electrical charges which occur during the transportation of electrical non-conductive media using hoses with a metal insert.
