<p>PURPOSE:To obtain the titled precursor capable of giving thin films having improved heat and chemical resistance and mechanical characteristic, by reacting a tetracarboxylic acid dianhydride with an alcohol, converting the resultant compound into an acid halide and reacting the resultant acid halide with a specific compound. CONSTITUTION:A tetracarboxylic acid dianhydride expressed by formula I (R<1> is >=2C tetrafunctional group) is reacted with a compound expressed by the formulas R<3>OH and R<4>OH [R<3> and R<4> are aliphatic, cyclic aliphatic or aromatic 1-30C monofunctional group (which may be substituted by halogen, nitro, amino, etc.) or H] to give a compound expressed by formula II, which is then converted into an acid halide in an anhydrous polar organic solvent at >=-10 deg.C. The resultant acid halide is then reacted with a compound expressed by formula III (R<2> is >=2C bifunctional group; R<5> and R<6> have the same meaning as R<3> and R<4>) at >=-10 deg.C to afford the aimed precursor having repeating units expressed by formula IV (two or more of R<3>-R<6> are not 1-11C group or H).</p> |
