THERMOPLASTIC RESIN COMPOSITION

PURPOSE:To obtain the titled composition with highly good balance between impact resistance, heat resistance and molding processability, useful for side range of applications, by incorporating a polyphenylene ether resin with a polyester and modified ethylene-alpha-olefin copolymer. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition can be obtained by incorporating (A) 4-95 (pref. 10-50)wt% of a polyphenylene ether resin with (B) 95-4 (pref. 85-40)wt% of a polyester and (C) 1-50 (pref. 0.1-10)wt% of an ethylene-alpha- olefin copolymer modified with either unsaturated acid anhydride or unsaturated acid (e.g., maleic anhydride). The component C is pref. a graft polymer with the alpha-olefin being propylene; the weight ratio of the ethylene to alpha-olefin being pref. 95:5-5:95 (esp. 85:15-70:30).
