PURPOSE:To resolve the increase of magnetic resistance in a back core short- circuit part to reduce the write current and improve various capacities of a head such as the increase of reproduced output by connecting magnetic pole layers magnetically through a magnetic body layer formed in a through hole part by the electrocasting method. CONSTITUTION:A lower magnetic pole layer 2, a gap layer 3, a lower insulating layer 4, a thin film coil layer 5, and an upper insulating layer 6 are formed successively on a substrate 1 similarly to a conventional example. In this state, the gap layer 3 covers all of the surface except a through hole part 8. and the thin film coil layer 5 is insulated by the upper insulating layer 6. That is, all parts except the through hole part 8 are coated with insulating layers. After a magnetic body layer 81 is formed in the through hole part 8 in this state by the electrocasting method to level the steps of the through hole part 8, an upper magnetic layer 7 is formed by sputtering or vapor-deposition. Thus, magnetic coupling in the through hole part 8 is sufficient and the rise of magnetic resistance in this part in the conventional example is eliminated to display sufficiently expected capacities. |
