The process is characterised in that the said component (3) is applied in the form of solution to the said product in the course of its manufacture and while it exhibits a degree of hydrophilicity. The product is chosen from insulating products and especially mineral fibres such as rock wool (2) and these fibres are impregnated directly as they leave the spinning head by spraying with a solution (3) of one of the components of the curable coating used for its bonding and its integral fastening to the support intended to receive them. <IMAGE>
