PURPOSE:To prevent an erroneous operation to answer another held call or an incoming call from occurring by providing a connecting means to re-connect a key telephone set to a held call based on the hold information stored in a hold information storing means. CONSTITUTION:The titled device is provided with a line wire interface 12 to accommodate plural line wires, a telephone interface 13 to accommodate plural key telephone sets N, a channel switch 14 to connect the line wire and the key telephone set, a main controlling part 15 to control the channel switch, etc., a holding button 23 provided for the key telephone set, the hold information storing means to store the hold information of a held call in case the holding button in the key telephone set is depressed during speaking, a hold-answering button 24 provided for the key telephone set and the connecting means to re- connect the key telephone set to the held call based on the hold information stored in the hold information storing means in case when a held call is made to the said telephone set after the depressing of the hold-answering button. Consequently, it is made possible to instantaneously and exactly re-answer the held call without any erroneous answering to another held call or an incoming call.
