ELECTROSTATIC IMAGE DEVELOPER

摘要

PURPOSE:To improve low temp. fixability and frictional charge characteristic by forming a titled developer of a toner contg. a polyester having an aliphat. hydrocarbon group of >=3C at the side chain as a binder and carrier formed by coating a carrier core material with a silicone resin. CONSTITUTION:The polyester which is the nonlinear polyester obtd. from monomer components contg. trihydric or higher polyhydric alcohol monomer and/or trihydric or higher polyhydric carboxylic acid monomer and has the aliphat. hydrocarbon group of >=3C at the side chain is used as the binder. The electrostatic image developer is constituted of the toner formed by incorporating a toner component such as coloring agent into such binder and the carrier formed by providing the coating layer coated by the silicone resin on the surface of the carrier core material. The toner consists of the polyester which is the nonlinear polyester obtd. from the specific monomer components and has the aliphat. hydrocarbon group of >=3C at the side chain as the binder and therefore, the toner has the low softening point and excellent low-temp. fixability.
