PURPOSE:To obtain a distinct image even in case of a transfer electrifier whose polarity becomes opposite to an electrification polarity for forming a latent image by an inversion developing system, by erasing an electrification memory which is generated in accordance with whether a transfer material exists or not, in a transfer process. CONSTITUTION:The titled device is provided with a primary electrifier 2 for electrifying uniformly a photosensitive drum 1 having a photoconductivity, an image exposing part 3 for forming an electrostatic latent image on the surface of the electrified photosensitive drum 1 which, a developing device 4 for developing the electrostatic latent image, and a transfer electrifier 6 for transferring an image developed by the developing device 4, to a transfer material. The transfer electrifier 6 has the opposite polarity to that of the primary electrifier 2. Also, this device is provided with a pre-electrifier 8 having the same polarity s that of the primaly electrifier 2, and a pre-exposing lamp 9, as the pre-process of the primary electrifier 2, and the pre-electrifer 8 is provided in order that the photosensitive drum 1 is turned off with respect to a part subjected to a transfer electrification through the transfer material in the transfer process. |
