PURPOSE:To realize a practical high definition television signal Y/C separation or a scanning interpolation which is not being affected by the limit of a broadcasting frequency band by providing a movement detecting circuit in a receiver side. CONSTITUTION:The video signal supplied to an input terminal IN is supplied to the input terminal of a delay circuit 1 and one input terminal of a subtracter 3. To the other input terminal of the subtracter 3, the signal before two frames passing through the delay circuits 1 and 2 is supplied. Under a state of a still picture, the video signals supplied to both the input terminals of a subtracter 2 are equal. Accordingly, the scale of a difference signal between the video signals having a time difference of the two frames displays the scale of the movement of the picture. Similarly, to the two input terminals of a subtracter 4, respectively, a video signal having the time difference of one frame outputted from the delay circuits 1 and 2 is supplied. A low pass filter circuit 5 removes a chrominance signal component from the output of the subtracter 4, samples a low frequency component of the difference signal of a luminance signal according to the scale of the movement and outputs. |
