PURPOSE:To efficiently execute the reduction or thinning of a picture by providing a thinned data selector, an address shifting circuit, an odd-number-address memory, an even-number-address memory, and a memory selecting means. CONSTITUTION:The thinned data selector 55 outputs only the odd-numberth or the even-numberth data among inputted data when a thinning read signal is on. The selector 55 outputs a read data from the odd-number-address memory 53 when the said signal is on and the lowest-order bit of an input address is on. But, when the said signal is off and the said bit is also off, the selector 55 outputs a read data from the even-number-address memory 54. As a result, the processing time is shortened, and the load on an arithmetic unit can be decreased. |
