<p>PURPOSE:To prevent generation of reading mistake due to an image pickup device by lighting a seal stamp engraved on an object by plural optical sources from a different mutually while shifting the time mutually and synthesizing the shadow given to the seal stamp by each light source. CONSTITUTION:A seal stamp letter 14 engraved on the surface of an object 12 is lighted by the 1st light source 16 and shadows 42a, 42b are formed to engraved strips 14a, 14b. The OR between the picture information of the 1st picture stored in the 1st memory buffer 30 and the picture information of the 2nd picture stored in the 2nd memory buffer 32 is obtained by a synthesis circuit 34 comprising an OR gate circuit, and the picture information as a shadow image of an engraved letter 14 being the synthesis between shadows 42a, 42b of the 1st picture and a shadow 44 of the 2nd picture is outputted to a discriminator 38 as the output from the synthesis circuit 34. Thus, the seal stamp is accurately and easily read.</p> |
