The wheels (3) are sprung in their suspensions (8) which are articulately fitted at the top to the side edge of the trailer. This allows the wheels to be pivoted inwards when a lock device (20a) on the suspension lower part is released. To impart a self-locking equilibrium position to the suspension, its upper part is bent outwards. This part is fixed to a longitudinal link (9) which projects outwards from the vehicle side.
