PURPOSE:To suppress generation of glow or spark by supplying the potential of the electrode facing the first focusing electrode not as a divided potential of high anode potential generated by the first resistance but from another supplying source. CONSTITUTION:One end of a resistance 3a is connectedly fixed on a convergence electrode 21 while the other end on the first grid G111, and further the intermediate part is connected to the third grid G313 and the second intermediate grid GM216. As the result, upon operation of a cathode ray tube, an anode voltage Eb is applied to a convergence electrode 21 and if the first grid G111 is connected, a divisional voltage of high anode voltage is supplied due to a resistance 3a between the third grid G313 and the second intermediate grid GM216 is connected to a stem pin 5 by means of a connector 24 and a predetermined voltage 26 is to be supplied from the outside of the tube.
