PURPOSE:To make the constitution of a device simple and compact by executing a scan as to each photosensitive drum from the same direction, and distributing each scan use laser beam in the opposite direction to each other. CONSTITUTION:The titled printer is provided with two pieces of photosensitive drums D, two laser beams L1, L2 which have been modulated by two kinds of picture element signals being different from each other are made incident on a hologram disk 4 and a diffracted light is obtained, any by a rotation of this hologram disk 4, the diffracted light is deflected, so that one image is obtained by superposing each image which has been formed by scanning optically the surface of each photosensitive drum D. Each laser beam L1, L2 is made incident on a hologram lattice 4B, respectively, at the same incident angle from the same direction, therefore, a scan is executed to each photosensitive drum D, respectively, from the same direction.
