The cpds. useful as light stabilisers for plastics and as plant protectants. have formula:- (the R substituent being in the 4-position of the phenyl ring and being a benzoyl or a benzotriazole ring each unsubstituted or substituted by halogen, CH3, C2H5, or CH3O-; and X is the group -(CHR")n-, -(CHR)n-OCO-(CH2)m-COO-(CHR")n- or -(CHR")n-OCO-(CH2)m-Sk-(CH2)m-COO-(CHR")n- where R" is H or CH3, m is whole number 1-10, m is whole number 1-8 and k is 1 or 2.
