PURPOSE:To improve the characteristics of a thin body of lead alloy for cable sheathing as waterproofing layer for cables and to maintain said characteristics for a long period, by specifying center line average height of surface roughness Ra of at least one side as well as a composition consisting of Sn, Sb, and Pb. CONSTITUTION:The thin body of lead alloy for cable sheathing is a thin body of lead alloy consisting of, by weight, 0-2% Sn, 2-5% Sb, and the balance Pb, in which center line average height Ra of at least one side thereof measured with a JISB0651 tracer-type surface roughness tester is in the range of 0.1-0.4mum and thickness is preferably in the range of 10-80mum. This thin body has high waterproofing property and simultaneously it is excellent in strength, fatigue characteristics, laminate-body formability, corrosion resistance, and adhesive property. |
