<p>PURPOSE:To provide an electrodeposition coating compsn. which can be baked and cured at a relatively low temp. and gives a coating film having excellent resistance to staining and weather, etc., by mixing a specified aq. fluororesin having anionic functional groups with a curing agent and water. CONSTITUTION:A fluorine-contg. copolymer composed of 20-80mol% structural unit (A) of formula I (wherein X is chlorine or fluorine), 5-60mol% structural unit (B) of formula II (wherein R<1> is a 2-6C alkylene or a 4-10C bivalent alicyclic group; M is H, an alkali metal, etc.; n is 2-6), 0-40mol% structural unit (C) of formula III (wherein R<5> is a 1-12C alkyl, a 4-10C monovalent alicyclic group or a 2-10C fluoroalkyl; k is 0, 1) and 0-40mol% structural unit (D) of formula IV (wherein j is 2-6) is prepd. The resin is blended with a curing agent (e.g., methylmethylolmelamine resin) and water to obtain the desired electrondeposition coating compsn.</p> |
