PURPOSE:To provide a consolidation process stabilizer which is excellent in consolidation strength, water permeation prevention, and stability, by cutting a fibrous material comprised of a plurality of artificial fibers bounded together into pieces of a predetermined length so as to cause a cut end of the material to melt due to frictional heat and subsequently statically electrifying the pieces. CONSTITUTION:A consolidation process stabilizer is obtd. by cutting a fibrous material 5 comprised of a plurality of artificial fibers 2... bonded together into pieces of a predetermined length while causing a cut end 6 of the material to melt due to frictional heat during cutting, thereby obtaining a mesh forming element 4 comprised of fibers whose end portions are bonded together, and subsequently causing the element 4 to charge with static electricity. Mixing of the stabilizer comprising the element 4 into a coagulant (e.g., sodium silicate), followed by stirring, leads to radial scattering of the other end portions of the element around the center of a bonded end 3 of the element, so that elements 4... are entangled with one another in complicated form, thereby forming a mesh. Accordingly, casting of the stabilizer into the ground promotes consolidation of the ground by the coagulant and is effective in improving the flexibility strength and water permeation prevention of the consolidated ground.
