PURPOSE:To obtain the titled composition excellent in flame retardancy, transparency, mechanical properties and moldability, comprising a copolymer of an aromatic vinyl compound with methyl methacrylate, etc., a specified compound, a brominated aromatic compound and a phosphite compound. CONSTITUTION:70-95pts.wt copolymer (A) comprising 30-69wt% aromatic vinyl compound units, 70-31wt% methyl methacrylate units and 0-20wt% other copolymerizable monomer units and having an intrinsic viscosity of 0.03-0.1l/g (in CHCl3 at 25 deg.C) is mixed with 1-15pts.wt. compounds, m.p. of 90-210 deg.C, of formulas I and or II (wherein X is H, Br or Cl, Y is a group of formula III, IV or V, and Z is a group of formula VI or VII), 0-25pts.wt. brominated aromatic compound (C) of m.p. of 90-210 deg.C (e.g., tetrabromobisphenol A) and 0-3pts.wt. phosphite compound (D) of m.p. 40-210 deg.C (e.g., bisphenol A pentaerythritol phosphite).
