PURPOSE:To form a uniform plated film by providing one or more pieces of supporting rolls between the deflector rolls of an inlet side and an outlet side and arranging these so that the specified conditions are satisfied. CONSTITUTION:In a horizontal pass line type electrolytic treatment apparatus, a metallic strip 4 is continuously passed via the deflector rolls 2, 2 provided to the inlet and outlet sides in the inside of a treatment tank 1 filled with an electrolyte 9, and electroplating is performed between the metallic strip 4 and the electrodes 5a, 5b, 6a, 6b which are arranged to the upper and lower sides thereof while keeping the prescribed intervals. A supporting roll 3 is provided between the deflector rolls 2, 2 of the inlet and outlet sides and arranged so that the distance (l) between the deflector rolls and the supporting roll is satisfied in an equation. In the equation, DELTAD is distance of each electrode in the upper and lower sides, W is sheet width of the metallic strip, (t) is sheet thickness there of, and T is tension charged on the metallic strip.
