PURPOSE:To aim at improvement in dielectric pressure resistance, by installing a thin dielectric layer in a setup zone of a fret electrode extending out of a float electrode and a capacitive coupling electrode, and then installing a thick dielectric layer in another set up zone of the fret electrode and the float electrode. CONSTITUTION:Utilizing a float electrode and a condenser, the number of electrode terminals for drive circuit connection is reduced, making each multiple drive performable, thus a gas discharge panel is constituted. At this time, a dielectric layer 7 for capacitive coupling with a driving electrode is formed, as relatively thinned, on a setup zone of the fret electrode 4 extended from the float electrode 3 set up on a glass substrate 1 at the display side and capacitive coupling electrodes 5 and 6. In succession, a thick dielectric layer 8 is formed on another setup zone of the float electrode 3 and the fret electrode 4. Therefore, the dielectric layer 8 on the fret electrode 4 is thickened and dielectric pressure resistance between driving electrodes is improvable without varying a coupling capacity value of the dielectric layer 7 on these capacitive coupling electrodes 5 and 6. |
