PURPOSE:To evaluate a test result based upon simulation within a short period by executing a common processing step on a simulator, storing the states of a main storage device model and a processor mode in an external storage device immediately before the execution of a test processing step. CONSTITUTION:In the simulator provided with the model of a main storage device and the model of a processor connected to the main storage device, a test program stored in the main storage device model is constituted of a common processing step and a test processing step, the common processing stem is executed on the simulator and the state of the test processing step immediately before its execution is saved, and then the state of the test processing step is restored every its execution. Since only an individual test part can be executed on the simulator, evaluation equivalent to that of a real hardware can be executed within a limited period only by one simulator. |
