PURPOSE:To remove dust and harmful gas contained in exhaust gas with high efficiency by inserting one part of an endless filter medium so that exhaust gas is passed through the filter medium and forming a filter aid impregnated with a medicine on the filter medium of a passing part of exhaust gas. CONSTITUTION:An endless filter medium 2 is wound and held on plural pieces of guide rollers and transferred in the specified velocity or intermittently and one part of the filter medium 2 is constituted so that exhaust gas is passed through the filter medium in the inside of a gas treating chamber 1. In the endless filter medium 2, both such a means that a wet granular filter aid is formed on the surface of the filter medium and a means by which a medicine allowed to react with harmful gas contained in exhaust gas is impregnated are provided to the part entering the inside of the chamber 1 in accordance with the transfer thereof. A scraper peeling the filter aid from the filter medium is provided to the part wherein the filter medium 2 goes away from the chamber 1 and therefore fresh medicine is always fed to the chamber 1.
