PURPOSE:To detect anolyte leakage in a liquid fuel cell or an attached circulation line by electrically detecting an anolyte leakage by the resistance variation between conductors. CONSTITUTION:A liquid leakage detector 4 is arranged in a part where an anolyte is easily collected, for example, in the lower part in a liquid fuel cell. In case a separator 3 is dry, the potential of a conductor 2 is equal to the earth potential. In case the separator 3 is wetted with anolyte, the conductor 2 has positive potential against the earth potential. When the potential 8 of the conductor 2 exceeds a reference potential 9, the output of a comparator 10 changes from an L state to an H state, operates a transistor 11, and lights an LED 12 to detect anolyte leakage. |
