PURPOSE:To compact the construction of a blower by covering a groove part formed on a motor mounting board to define a duct and disposing an air introduction board having a raised part used to block air current, near the casing. CONSTITUTION:A U-shaped groove part 11a is mounted as a reinforcing means for a motor mounting board 11. An air introduction board 16 is stuck to the groove part 11a to cover it from the internal part of the projecting truncated cone of an impeller 12 to the vicinity of a casing 15, whereby defining a duct. The raised part 17 of the air introduction board is formed closed to the casing 15. The raised part 17 can introduce dynamic pressure left on the casing 15 into the duct so that quantity of cooling air can be increased and the construction of this blower can be made compact.
