PURPOSE:To prevent instantaneous filling with water, even upon collision of a drifting matter against the bow or the bottom to cause damage, by so filling a buoyant member composed of a foaming material as to abut on the front section in an engine room and the hull side bottom board. CONSTITUTION:A buoyant member 80 composed of a plastic foaming material is so fixed in a space at the lower front side in an engine room 29 as to abut on a bottom board 20. As for the central section, only the bottom section having no ventilation mechanism is filled in the central section while as for both side sections, it is filled upto the upper deck section 21. At the opposite lower sections of the operating seat in the rear of the vessel, the buoyant member 81 composed of a foaming material is also filled in a space at the underside of a foot deck 30 abutting on the bottom board 20. The capacity and the arrangement of the buoyant members 80, 81 are set such that intrusion of water can be prevented even upon collision of a drifting matter against the bottom of the vessel, while the vessel will never incline but float, upon considerable damage to cause intrusion of water into the vessel. Consequently, instantaneous filling with water can be prevented upon collision of a drifting matter against the bow or the bottom of vessel to cause damage.
