PURPOSE:To receive an emergent alarm broadcast even when an antenna amplifier is not in the feeding state by providing a bypass circuit to the antenna amplifier and closing the bypass circuit in interlocking with the interrupting operation of a power switch of an emergency alarm broadcast receiver. CONSTITUTION:The bypass circuit 14 connecting an antenna 1 and a high frequency amplifier circuit 12 is provided to the antenna amplifier 13. The bypass circuit 14 is provided with an electromagnetic relay 15 connected to a power supply 11. The electromagnetic relay 15 closes the bypass circuit 14 in interlocking with the interruption of a power switch 6. When an emergency broadcast comes, an input signal to the antenna 1 is inputted as it is to the high frequency amplifier circuit 12 via the bypass circuit 14 not through the antenna amplifier 13. In this case, when a discrimination circuit 9 recognizes the start signal of the emergency alarm broadcast, the electromagnetic relay 15 is energized and the bypass circuit 14 is opened, then the input signal from the antenna 1 is outputted from a speaker 7 as a sound signal via the amplifier 3.
