PURPOSE:To prevent the external appearance of a ship from being made dirty by exhaust gas smoke and to improve noise suppressing effect and safety for swimmers, by exhausting exhaust gas from an engine through a cylindrical portion formed on a stern bottom portion. CONSTITUTION:There is provided an exhaust gas pipe 40 directed toward a stern from an engine 14 and exhaust gas is discharged through an exhaust gas port 4 into a cylindrical portion 70. With such an arrangement, exhaust gas smoke does not entirely make contact with the outer surface of a ship body 100 and then the smoke does not injure the external appearance of the ship body. There is no fear that a ship operator 11 inhales the exhaust gas, noise suppressing effect is improved, and there is also no fear that swimmers sustain an injury from the exhaust gas of high temperature blown against them, for thereby improving safety.
