PURPOSE:To facilitate the common job of an exchange station and a maintenance station by providing a line of a data link 2 between both stations, operating the line through the ACT-side line normally and sending type-in information of the maintenance station and supervisory test information from the exchange station through a SBY side line. CONSTITUTION:The exchange station 6 and the maintenance station 12 transmit and receive data via the ACT side line 7 normally. The type-in information produced in the maintenance station 12 controls the exchange station 6 via the ATC side line 7 and the said information is sent to a transmission controller 3 via the SBY side line 8 and a line controller 4b. The information is printed out when a maintenance personnel visits the exchange station 6 and a portable typewrite 5 is connected to the transmission controller 3. Through the processing, the type-in information of the maintenance station 12 is grasped by the exchange station side. The supervisory test information sent to the maintenance station 12 via the ATC side line 7 from the exchange station 6 is returned to the transmission controller 3 of the exchange station 6 via the SBY side line 8 in the same way as that in above-mentioned case.
