PURPOSE:To permit the shift of a coil material to the next step in simple ways by downwardly swinging a taking-up roller on the axially supported side onto a swing arm, thus eliminating the need of operator's work. CONSTITUTION:In the captioned taking-up machine 2, a pair of taking-up rollers 10 and 10' are installed in parallel on a same horizontal basic line, and a coil material A is taken up onto the rollers 10 and 10'. The coil material A cut and sent out from a laminator R is sent into the taking-up device 2 by a transporting device 1 equipped with a speed adjustor 3 and taken up, and at the time point when taking-up is completed, a driving cylinder 14 is operated to swing the swing arms 11 and 11 downward, and since the taking-up roller 10 which is axially supported onto the swing arms 11 and 11 and positioned on the rear side in the direction of traveling of the coil material A shifts downward, the coil material A loaded on the taking-up rollers 10 and 10' rolls to the taking-up roller 10 side, and shifts to the next process.
