PURPOSE:To utilize a space at the center of a transom board, easily adjust a neutral position of a rudder handle and provide a hydraulic oil piping of a steel tube for improving durability and reducing cost, by pivotally connecting a steering guide located above a steering cylinder in parallel with it with a rudder handle by a rod. CONSTITUTION:There is provided a steering guide 31 which is located at the substantially center of a transom board 12 above a horizontally fixed steering cylinder 14 and is connected with the cylinder by a connecting arm 38 in parallel with a shaft. A rod 41 is provided which has one end pivotally connected with the steering guide 31 and another end pivotally connected with a rudder handle 50 of an outboard motor 11. Therefore, an effective space on the side of the transom board 12 is not occupied by the steering cylinder for thereby utilizing it effectively. A neutral position of the rudder handle 50 of the outboard motor 11 can be adjusted easily only by turning a bar on the right of the steering guide 31. In addition, since the steering cylinder 14 is fixed, a steel piping can be used for improving durability and reducing cost.
