PURPOSE:To enable engine performance to be more improved, by setting a correction value of ignition timing from whether knocking is generated or not being classified by cylinders and correcting a control value of the respective ignition timing. CONSTITUTION:A control unit 30 sets a control value of ignition timing from an engine speed and a basic fuel injection quantity. Next the control unit discriminates an ignition cylinder by a signal from a crank angle sensor 9 to subtract a correction value for the respective cylinder from the control value of the ignition timing and perform a delay timing correction of the ignition timing, and ignition is performed by said ignition timing. And after the ignition, the control unit, deciding whether knocking in every cylinder is generated or not by a signal from a knocking sensor 13, increases the correction value to a delay timing side in a cylinder, if its generation of knocking is decided, while decreases the correction value in case of no generation of knocking. In this way, output performance and fuel consumption can be improved by sufficiently taking out engine performance. |
