PURPOSE:To aim at enhancing the productivity of a machining device having a buffer for temporarily accumulating plate-like members, by moving a magazine for storing plate-like members in multi-stages, and by allowing a conveying belt to run in the magazine. CONSTITUTION:When the capacity of the next process step lowers, a plate-like member which have been machined at the previous process steps are set on conveying belts 57, 58, and a motor 73 is rotated by a predetermined amount in the direction of the arrow C so that the plate-like member is conveyed into a magazine 10 along grooves in the magazine 10. Then, a pulse motor 30 is rotated to raise the magazine by one pitch to bear the plate-like member in the grooves of the magazine 10. On the contrary, when the plate-like member is fed to the next machining step, the magazine 10 is lowered to set the plate member on the belt conveyers 57, 58. With this arrangement, it is possible to enhance the productivity of the machining device.
