PURPOSE:To reduce the water flow resistance while reducing the projections so as to maintain/improve the speed by providing water-tight recesses having same cross-section performance at respective positions of the stern section such as a rudder and fixing the sacrifice metals having specific recess depth and projection height. CONSTITUTION:Recesses for fixing the sacrifice metal anodes 2 are made in the rudder body 1 to compensate the cross-section performance at the fixing section of anode 2 by means of the water-tight structure so as to provide a structure 4 comformable with the regular size of the anode 2. The recess depth (d) when fixing the anode 2 and the projecting height (h) of the anode 2 from the surface of the rudder body 1 will satisfy the relation d/d+h=0.4-1. Consequently, the projections are reduced to maintain the streamline shape of the rudder body 1 so as to prevent the disturbed water flow resulting in reduction of the water flow resistance and maintaining/improvement of the speed. |
