PURPOSE:To provide a hair tonic cosmetic compounded with nocomol, effective in continuously promoting the blood flow of the scalp, having excellent hair- growing effect, preventing falling off of hair and dandruff and giving no irritation to the skin. CONSTITUTION:A hair tonic cosmetic having the above effects can be produced by adding nocomol of formula useful as an excellent lipid metabolism improver for the remedy of hypertension to a hair tonic cosmetic such as hair tonic, hair lotion, hair cream, etc., in an amount of 0.05-1.0wt%, preferably 0.1-0.7wt% based on the whole composition. Since the compound slowly produces free nicotinic acid by the action of esterase after absorbed in the scalp, it has no skin irritation and exhibits continuous blood flow acceleration effect. It is supposed that the accelerated blood flow activates hair-matrix cell to exhibit excellent hair-growing and falling off preventive effect, normalize the metabolic function of the scalp and improve the dandruff-preventing effect. |
