PURPOSE:To certainly and continuously perform the sampling of a specimen, by providing holes engaging with a sprocket to the side flange part of a long feeding core material and laminating a specimen sampling tape having a width narrower than that of the feeding core material to be central part of said core material. CONSTITUTION:A base material of a contamination inspecting tape T is formed of a long feeding core material Ta comprising polyester and engaging holes Tc engaging with a sprocket are provided to the side flange parts of said core material Ta at appropriate intervals. A specimen sampling sheet material Tb comprising smear filter paper or nonwoven fabric having a width narrower than that of the core material Ta is laminated to the core material Ta. Thus formed inspection tape T is subjected to remote operation and, for example, contacted with the surface of a drum packed with radioactive waste to sample a contaminant specimen. By this method, the specimen can be sampled continuously, certainly and safely.
