PURPOSE:To enable the volume of a device through removal of a guide plate, protruding from a sorter body, during carriage, by a method wherein the guide plate is so formed as to allow division for removal thereof. CONSTITUTION:A sorter body 3 is secured to an upper guide plate 11 on the sheet outlet side by means of screws 11a and 11b. An upper guide plate 12 on the sheet inlet side has the one end part engaged with the guide plate 11 on the sheet outlet side in a firm adhering state by means of a joining part 12a, and the other end part mounted to the sorter body 3 by means of a screw 12b. During carriage of a device, with the screw 16 unscrewed, the guide plate 15 on the sheet inlet side is separated from the guide plate 13 on the sheet outlet side so as to allow removal. The upper guide plate on the sheet inlet side is removed. In this case, when, with the screw 12b unscrewed, the upper guide plate is lifted up in a direction C, the joining part 12a can be disjoined for removal. This constitution eliminates a protrusion part D, protruding from the sorter body 3, of a conveyance passage 4 during carriage.
