PURPOSE:To minimize a burden due to the losses of parts and the maintenance thereof by taking out a defective part from an assembly conveyor and again delivering a remedied part to said conveyor. CONSTITUTION:An assembly jig 1 flowing on an assembly conveyor 5a is temporarily stopped by a plunger PM2 and the arrival of said jig 1 is inputted by a magnetic detecting sensor SM2. When the plunger PM2 has been reset, the jig 1 is again stopped by a plunger PM1 and the existence of the jig 1 at the stopped position is detected by a magnetic sensor SM1. In this state, the existence or non-existence of improper assembly in a process line due to the assembly jig 1 is judged on a defective part detecting sensor SO. When a part is judged to be good, the plunger PM1 is reset, thereby letting the assembly jig 1 to the next process line. Also, if the part is found defective, a defective part detecting signal is transmitted and the part is taken out toward a conveyor 5b.
