PURPOSE:To prevent contamination trouble caused by ink splash to printed material by providing an anti-splash board at a point requiring a minimum possible coverage in close proximity to a printing barrel or an application roll. CONSTITUTION:A protection board 11 which partially covers both sides 10 and the circumferential surfaces 10a of both sides of a printing barrel A or an application roll is attached in close contact with both sides all the time under spring force, supported by the holder of a doctor 20. The protection board 11 also operates in close contact with both sides of the printing barrel, if the doctor rocks horizontally. In addition, the protection board 11 can be easily removed together with the doctor 20 by loosening a screw 19 when cleaning operation is performed. The cleaning area is also extremely smaller than that required for the conventional cover, hence less labor is involved. When mounting the protection board 11, is can be easily attached in close contact with the side 10 because it is assisted inwardly by means of a spring 14. |
