PURPOSE:To omit the substitute processing using a virtual computer control program for the input/output processing carried out through a virtual computer, by preparing a virtual computer index for discrimination of the virtual computer and the input/output address addition value corresponding to said virtual computer index. CONSTITUTION:An input/output processing request is delivered to a real input/ output device shown by an input/output address 10 from a program. Thus the presence or absence of a virtual computer processing mode is decided. When said processing mode is confirmed, the value of the corresponding item of the input/output address addition value that is shown in an input/output address by a virtual computer index is added to the address 10. Then it is confirmed that the result of said addition is less than the allocated area shown by the item of the corresponding input/output address addition value of an input/output address conversion table 13. Then the result of addition is defined as a new input/output address and this address value is used for retrieval of the table 13. Thus the items of the corresponding real input/output device control table 14 are obtained.
