PURPOSE:To stop an optical part at a fixed position accurately regardless of the backward moving speed of the optical part by obtaining the backward moving speed in the middle of its backward movement and controlling the rotational speed of a DC motor for speed reduction based on the backward moving speed. CONSTITUTION:An S/D signal, an F/R signal, and a reference frequency signal from a controller CPU composed of a microcomputer, etc., are supplied to a driving circuit MD, which supplies electric power for driving to the DC motor M. Then, encoder pulses from a pulse generator PG driven by the DC motor M are supplied to the microcomputer CPU and a driving circuit MD. Further, a timing signal from a sensor S2 is supplied to the microcomputer CPU. When the S/D signal and F/R signal are both at high level, the DC motor M is braked during stop/forward rotation and when the both are at a low level, the motor is reversed.
