PURPOSE:To facilitate the optical axis alignment and to uniform a read sensor face illuminance distribution by arranging a line sensor comprising plural photoelectric transducing elements arranged on a base in the scanning direction and providing an insulation layer on the arranged face. CONSTITUTION:The insulation base 2 with the line sensor 20 mounted on a support base 27 via an adhesives 26 is fitted. The line sensor 20 consists of a CCD where plural photoelectric transducing elements are arranged and arranged in zigzag in the scanning direction on the insulation base 21. The line sensor 20 is mounted on the insulation base 21 by using a mount agent and an input/output bonding pad part and a wire conductor layer are connected. A protection cover 31 is formed by adhering a light transmission plate 32 top the line sensor, an input/output signal extracting wire 30 of the line sensor and a spacer 33 with low melting point glass and using a sealing adhesives.
