PURPOSE:To detect angular displacement with high precision by providing a displacement detecting mechanism formed by combining a magneto-resistance element and a permanent magnet while a gimbals device. CONSTITUTION:When a gyro 10 rotates around an axis 18 of rotation by preces sion to and away from an inside gimbals 14, the permanent magnet 24 held by a magnet holder 22 also rotates. At this time, equivalently the same result with the linear displacement the magnet 24 along the plane of the sensitive part 34 of the magneto-resistance element 30 is obtained as variation of the magnetic flux of the magnet 24 to the three-terminal magneto-resistance element 30. Namely, a signal corresponding to the angle of rotation of the gyro 10 in precession motion is led out of the magneto-resistance element 30 as a voltage signal. Consequently, the angular displacement is detected with high precision.
