PURPOSE:To detect the displacement of synchronism among the operation of a pulse motor and drive pulses, particularly, step-out, at an early stage, and to return the pulse motor to normal operation by comparing the number of drive pulses and the number of pulses detected. CONSTITUTION:A first counter 6 counts the number of the pulses of a drive control signal controlling a motor drive driving a motor 3. A second counter 7 counts the number of pulses outputted from an encoder 4. A sequence controller 1 investigates the difference of the counting number of both pulses every time a drive control signal in pulse number set by a timer 5 is outputted, and a keeping within a previously set fixed value of the difference is detected, thus easily determining the sign of the out-of-step and the phenomenon of out-of- step of the operation of the motor, then devising a counterplan such as emergency shutdown. |
